The 7 month wait was worth it!

Featured Replies

Finally picked up my new Fabia VRS on the 18th Nov. It was the replacement vehicle for my cancelled order from April 2011, as delivery was quoted Feb 2012.

Well..........worth the bloody wait!!

First impressions are excellent, it's totally different to any other car i have owned, i've never had a VAG car before either.

It feels very solidly built, no rattles or creaks as yet, and every button i have pressed so far works a treat.

Despie what people say about the inside being dull, i find it very enclosing and cosy if that's not strange to say. As it's all black inside it makes you feel part of it, which i love as i like to 'pilot' a car rather than drive it. Loving the black headlining too, makes a nice change from beige or light grey.

The car (Moshi he's called) has a very low growl at idle, which sounds mean and reminds you what it's capable of.

On the road it's a superb ride, taut but not harsh, and i haven't noticed any body roll as yet. Put your foot down and it fly's instantly, such a change from what i'm used to. The DSG changes very quickly and smoothly, i only ever drive semi-auto cars, and this is the best box by far.

I have not had the chance to give it some real welly, and have only driven about 60 miles so far - desparate to take it on a long trip.

It's going to take quite a long time to get used to the motor, especially the onboard computer and a few other bits and bobs, but plenty of time to play.

Also had a really good look around the outside, and i don't get what people say about the look of it. Pictures don't do it justice, stand next to one and then comment. The Polo GTI is meant to be the better looking car, but it's nowhere close to the VRS in the flesh. It sits low and looks as though it means business, the Polo looks too much like a mini Golf - it's nice that the VRS looks like nothing else on the road.

Although my original car was meant to be white, Moshi is Rallye green, which looks superb. I like it more every time i look at it!

I could carry on all day, it's a brilliant car so far, easily 10/10.

Pictures will be posted when i have figured out how to do it, and have taken some decent ones.

Buy a VRS - if you can stomach the wait - it's worth it!!

Can't wait to see it mate, and glad you like it. Get mine on Wednesday

Colour??

Moshi is Rallye green

use photobucket to host pictures, sign up then its just a case of upload from computer and itll give you links to use, if you get stuck im sure somebody on chat would be able to help you

Congratulations kevrs16, great little car aint it  and i agree that its far better looking in the flesh and far better looking than the Polo!!!!. But i do think our beloved VRS's could do with being 20mm or so lower.

Look forward to seeing the pics.

Enjoy B)

Lurvly. Enjoy your Moshing!

Your back seat bases look very... tilted? Mine are flatter than that

Least yours is built decently though :) Can't say the same about my car, biggest regret of my life.

It feels very solidly built, no rattles or creaks as yet

..... give it a couple of months and then it will.

At least the stereo is good enough to drown it out !!
