Is it just me,or does anyone else find the headlights dim(I assume mine are standard and not xenons)there must have been a reason to add xenons?

Thanks mate.Just ordered some OSRAM Night Breaker Plus H3

H3 and H7's - so first click on the light switch uses the H7's, then the second click uses the H3's? Or are the H3's ony for flashing people?! Sorry - stupid one, but need to clarify!

First click are sidelights, which is bulb type 501.

Next click is normal dipped beam, bulb type H7

H3s are used for full/high beam which you operate with the indicator stalk.

Gotcha! Cheers :)

Have I ordered the wrong ones ? I want normal headlamps, not beams. The ones come on second click

Your order contains the following items:

100041004 - 2x Osram H3 12v 55W Nightbreaker Plus Headlamp/Headlight Bulb 90% Brighter OSNBH

They're the full beam that you've ordered.

Normal driving on dipped beam is H7.

Remember the aiming of the lights is just as important as the actual bulb - too low as mine were when I bought it and the situation was hopeless. The garage refused to raise them so I did it manually - much better afterwards. However I also fitted Night Breaker Plus bulbs. Don't buy ordinary Night Breaker if you find old stock cheap - they apparently don't last. My "plus" versions have been fine.

You could be right. They seem too low as well. Are they easy to adjust manually

There's some screws at the front - you just need to wind up and down until it seems OK. I live on a straight road so just parked outside the house, blanked out each headlight in turn with a piece of board, and progressively raised the light until bending down to eye level of a low-seated car driver the cut-off just cut-off - took about 30 minutes of fiddling - would be easier with more than one person. Remember to raise the adjuster to maximum before doing it. Whilst that all sounds rather hit'n'miss I've not been flashed by other drivers and the car passed its MOT this year without a problem.

i did the same as above, but rather than block out one lamp at a time i just left them uncovered on dip beam, ignition on (of course) and adjusted to suit.

What a difference it's made, height wise i'd say they're bob on, you could try parking it behind somebodies car at a distance you'd normally follow traffic and adjust them until they're a little below their back window, that way they're at a good height and don't dazzle other drivers :)

blocking out one at a time could also co*k up the beam pattern in relation to which direction they point, the left is always a little higher in the left corner of the beam pattern.

I found that if I didn't block out each one in turn it was harder checking where the beam was actually pointing... Not sure why it would affect the aim as intimated.
