non-PD TDI engine

Featured Replies

Hi all,

IF, IF, I get a 1.9 tdi Fabia for SWMBO, non PD engined, what can I get away with putting in the tank along with the diesel? I seem to recall that the PD engines (i.e. mine) can't use bio diesel, veg oil or anything like that.

Can I chuck in half a tank of vegetable oil every now and then?

Thanks

Martin

I thought all the tdi engines in the mkI fabia were all PD.

I thought so too, only non-PD would be the SDI?

Mk1Octys used those engines initially

All TDI engines in the Fabia are PD.

The only non PD engines I'm aware of in the Skoda range are the 90 and 110 in the Octy

bugger. No watering down the fuel then... :'(

Absolutely not unless you want a hefty injector replacement bill. :)

That SDI is looking more tempting eh? :giggle:

Ever notice that the price of cooking oil at the supermarket nearest to the filling station is about 10p a litre dearer than diesel? Also sunflower oil prices fluctuate along with fuel prices? It's a booger innit? ;)

Cash and carry is the way forward, especially buying in bulk. ;)
