I had my little 1.4 tdi done last year does break up the barn door look of the fabia, he put them on and supplied for free when I bought it ;) , however I had just put an order in for a brand new elegance

I agree. First saw our Monte a few days before picking it up. Also the dealer had an SE model in the showroom with strips on it. Immediately felt that's what our car needed for the finishing touch, so ordered them fitted prior to collection. Charged us £60 (Normally about £80) so you did well, very happy we had it done.

Not a fan even on the monte.

Although practical I dont think it helps the cars already struggling looks :giggle:

+1. When I agreed to get my vRS, an already built one, I had asked the dealer to remove them in case the car had them on. Fortunately it didn't, spoils the "clear" image imho, especially in the vRS. But maybe in the Monte it blends better with the wheel arches (that I don't like either).

The monte is what the VRS should have looked like IMO, the fabia needs these strips not only to break up the side of barn look, also to stop the pillocks in supermarket car parks from twonking your new car :(

i had mine done for £99 at my dealers, and painted red to match the paint work on my monte carlo ,fitted

Each to their own, but I prefer the 'slab-sided' look on my mine

Have a look on this forum Post Your Fabia 11 Picture of The Day. on page 4 there is a white Monte with side strips, well worth having them. IMO.

Got them! Thanks :)

I agree they do look good. Maybe a call to the dealer is required... ;)

50 quid fitted. Thanks Mitchell Skoda!

Had the car off the dealer who fitted them, so managed to haggle a descent price , but.......They are about £30 to buy and took him less than 15 mins to fit.

I`ve fitted the door side stirps to my vRS estate and i think it looks better with them on

£50? I paid £27 for mine although this was before the VAT increase, genuine oem black side strips from the dealers. Fit yourself and save the £20+ They are only peel off sticky 3M back and stick on, take less than 20 seconds to stick each one onto each door. the dealer must be laughing if you paid £50

If anyone wants them fitted...

They don't actually protect the doors much. If you open most other car's doors, it will hit the unprotected surface of the fabias doors.
