stereo replacement VRS MK1 TO A VRS MK2

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought a skoda Octavia Mk1 VRS. It came with the standard cassette player and didnt come with the cd changer. Im looking at replacing it with a new stereo, that being a touchscreen cd player from the octavia vrs mk2, Does anyone no if this can been done?? Hope so.

Mk 2 won't fit due to the can bus, you can either try and find a mk1 sat nav or there's been good results with the pioneer touch screen hu

MK2 is also a totally different shape and the front panel is much larger than double din so you would need to hack the dashboard of the MK1 to get it to fit, that and the lack of Canbus in the MK1 means it would not work anyway.

If your cd changer is not in the boot. I am sure you could pick up a cheap cd changer from e-bay

Any particular Pioneer please, could fancy one for my soon to be purchased MK1 VRS estate?

I can't remember its one with a touch screen double din and had green lighting to match the octy. One of the members on here fitted it hopefully he'll come along soon and explain which one it was. I do know it really suited the octy sorry I can't be of more help m8

or I happen to have a skoda CD changer in my garage if you want to keep it standard. :p
