Just missed out on a Yeti 2.0 TDI Elegance used/demo :(

Featured Replies

Saw it advertised for £17,500 with only 1,000 demo miles on the clock but missed out. If you are the one that beat me to it .. I hate you ! ;-)

Now I have had a really good look around and can't find anything even close to that price other than to use something like 'UK Car Discount' who are offering really good prices, but has anyone used them or another online service ? I have always used a francise dealer in the past but these prices are very good.

Thanks

MARK

Thanks but that's only an SE (not even an SE Plus) and the mileage is a bit high for the price :(

I am in the Birmingham area.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes that's the one. Would have been perfect and only 15 mins drive from my house :(

Think I am going to have to go and have a cry now.

I actually emailed them about the SE+ yesterday but despite them saying 'Save Thousands' its actually only about £900 less than list price. I was only willing to accept a white one if it was quite a bit of a saving to be had.

The other Elegance that you have mentioned has Beige Leather :( I have an 8 year old .. I wont say any more ;-)

Thanks.

These prices look good - I paid just over 20K for our 60 plate TDI 140HP Elegance with 2,000 miles on the clock, back in August - have prices dropped off a bit since then ?

Just had a look on Allams web site and they have a Petrol Elegance with 6,510 miles on for £19,495 :(

The more I think about it the more I think that something was dodgy with that other Elegance deal (as in the Sales Manager sold it to a relative/friend etc). It wasn't available for me to view on the Sunday despite the listing saying that it wouldn't be available until December because they needed it for Demo purposes(and he only sold it the day before).

give young James a call or send him an email. don't bother pm(ing) him

That 2.0TDi Elegance is (was) very cheap, was it a 110 2WD? Sounds very cheap for a Elegance Yeti TDi. Wonder where they got it from to be able to sell it so cheap, or maybe it was a demo that got written back to a bit too much or something? Who knows..

We've got a 1.8TSi Elegance 4x4 as mentioned above, very good condition.

If you're happy with 2WD I've got a couple of 1.2TSi Elegances that I'll do you a stonking deal on if we can register in December?

Yes it was a demo vehicle.

Unfortunately I am only looking for a Diesel. My model preferences (in order) are ...

1) Elegance GreenLine II 1.6 TDI CR 105PS

2) Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 110PS DPF

3) SE Plus 2.0 TDI CR 110PS DPF

Thanks

MARK

I have a Greenline Elegance a few days ago, but it's gone.

Might be able to get you a Muscavado metallic Elegance 2.0TDi 110? It's brand new though not a demo car.

Other than that they are pretty hard to find as you know.

This any good :wonder:

More pricey again but metallic paint and front parking sensors

Similar to above but the very nice Corrida red with front park sensors.

Thanks. But as per my original question ... Has any one used a brokerage service before ?

Bit nervous as I usually use franchise dealer.

Thanks.

I got my vrs from them last year. Spot on. They literally just pass your order onto the dealer.

So now I am extremely interested, but confused as to why the dealers themselves can not get anywhere near the prices available on these brokers ?

Thanks.

They sell in bulk and you will be dealing with the back office (of a real Škoda dealer) doing the corporate fleet deals. So don't expect nice emails every week telling you where your car is in the system or a long 2 hour handover. Some brokers are middle men and you ONLY deal with them. Stear clear I say if you value your sanity. Drivethedeal is different in that they just put you in touch with a real dealer in London (unless a new dealer is now supplying since this London dealer stopped doing DtD deals a while ago) and from there on you never deal with DtD again. In my seven months waiting I only dealt with my dealer and Škoda UK until delivery and got over £3000 off list price.

OK thanks. I shall get a quote off DtD and use that as armourment for dealing directly with my local Skoda franchise.

I have an Octavia I want to part-ex and I see that DtD don't do part-ex's.

Oh but they do!!!!!!!!! You are dealing directly with a dealer. How you pay for the car after DtD hands the deal over to the dealer is between you and the dealer in question. You can pay with a trade in, on a debit card, with Škoda finance or whatever way you like. Yes DtD itself don't do trade-ins but that is because they themselves do sell ready made in-stock cars (as per the lists of cars on their website) and on THOSE you can't trade in. But a factory specific order you do as you like.

OK, just got the quote off DtD for £18,389.51 (inc Mats and Met Paint). So how do I know how much part-ex I would get against this from the dealer if I dont know who they are ?

Thanks.
