bought smds

Ive bought some smds to have a go at changing the interior lights. I can take things apart do some soldering and put things back where they came from so i thought id try. I seen a post ages ago about taking all the switches and dials apart and doing a colour change in the octy but cant find it well the search page cant find it but i have deffinetly seen it could anyone who knows the page im talking about or even know who done the write up point me in the direction of it. Ill be doin a write up about it when im doing it but a refrence to some dissasembly and smd quantity required before i start would be very helpfull.
