Wheel problem

Featured Replies

Right, I bought these wheels for the fabia a few weeks ago - Team Dynamics alloys and fitted winter tyres on to them. The problem is that now the bolts I have are to short to reach the hub. Can anyone help me on what spec of bolts I need to buy?

oem wheels for the fabia are radius seating, aftermarket are u have are likely to be taper seating, uif so u are driving a death trap

I've nothing on it at the minute, so I need taper seating ones? I would claim to know what those are but I've not a clue... These look like the sort of thing I need to buy - tuner bolts

Can anyone confirm or suggest what would be needed?

They look about right contact the seller I'm sure they can confirm if correct or not. Just be careful not to over tighten this style of bolt and make sure adapter it correctly fitted to bolt

best to check with several reputable dealers. don't always trust an alloy wheel specialist which is what i did and got fitted the wrong bolts and i was driving a death trap fora year

Skidz in Falkirk

M14 x 150 x 40mm with taper shoulder will probably be spot on.

Wind them in by hand, make sure they do at least five complete turns before tightening.

Rears are fine if they are to long, but front will bottom out on the edge of the bearing carrier and lock the wheel.

Also make sure you have the correct spigot rings so the wheel locates correctly, your centre bore is 57.1mm.
