Rear wiper problem

Featured Replies

I noticed yesterday that my rear wiper seems to be on, I went to turn it off by the wiper stalk and it was already switched of?? But it's still wiping? Been out today and the same thing again?? It's bloody annoying too!!!!! Anybody got any ideas or had a similar problem

I'd start with the usual checks on the rear washer piping, next to the spindle and under the CD stacker in the boot.

It's the wiper itself that's permanently on. Not the washer ?? I thought it may be the stalk itself but it stil works everything as normal ????

One a hatch this is generally caused my water into the wiper motor assembly/connections. Pop off the boot trim and check the connector block. Unplugging it should resolve your problem (short term at least).

Does the washer actually spray when you try and use it? If not then that's the problem, the hose has popped off and water's got in the motor.

Yeah the washer works fine as does the wiper when you turn it on. And sprays as it should. But when you turn it of it still wipes intermittently ???? It is so annoying

Sounds like water has got into the motor and is going doolally. Fairly common issue.
