Wrong fuel

Featured Replies

You shouldn't mount the kurb for emergency vehicles anyway!

Getting back on topic... Hope the car is ok.

Pretty sure it will be!

Petrol in diesel is generally ok. I used to put a small ammount in my diesel pug when running veg oil.

Well thats RAC done and cars running nice and smooth(for a diesel). He said the internet is full of doom and gloom about this but in all his years he has only saw 1 motor wrecked and it was a transit van driven for over 200 miles with a high petrol diesel mix. In the end its cost me £275 as need to refill skoda and loss of £40 of petrol.

Hopefully all will be good for next 2.5 years or so until the wife gets her VRS she wants. :)

Cheers for all replies including yours seboni ;)

Don't be so hard on yourself.

Tony

You can buy a little 'thingy' at Halfords for £5 that speaks a message when you open the fuel flap.

Something like 'Fill up with diesel'.

OK if you can put up with the embarrassment at the pumps.

Regards

Tony :mmm:

I'd like the wee flap talker but change it to the message the sticker had LOL.

Lesson learnt, let the wife fill up her own damn car :)
