Picked up the new car from trust group

Featured Replies

Picked up the new car today :)

Really good experience with Trust at Stourbridge - they even picked me up from the train station.

First impressions..... Really good - fast enough and 33mpg!

Steering is a bit heavy and wooly - suspect geometry is a bit out to be honest.

Dsg is much better than I remember! And much better suited to petrol than diesel .

Boy is the little engine flexible - very impressive - much better than the demo car I had. Must admit I'm not too convinced a remap is needed - just more right foot.

It's got the turbo actuator rattle (nothing really IMO)

So far very pleased with it. I had test driven an xf s jag, e350cdi c250cdi as possible alternatives and I honestly think the half price alternative vrs was very much the right one to go for :)

Give us a clue, what car have you picked up!?

VRS maybe?

Ha, I thought a remap wasn't needed but after a few months I got it!

This now isn't enough so I'm going RS4, M3 or C63 now. Trouble is you get used to the power pretty quickly.

Glad you like it.

Sorry vrs petrol estate

To be honest it sounds daft but I'm bored of too much power! My Hsv supercharger had far too much (530bhp 500lb/ft and 1750kg) and was a bit 'boring' as you were constantly having to reel it in.

The gta alfa I've just sold was to be honest more fun and driven faster by the scruff of the neck where you wouldn't dare in the Hsv. Nothing below 4k rpm so a bit tiresome at times.

Think the vrs is a good compromise without loosing the plot. Feels fun and despite its size feels light. Very good all rounder and an absolute bargain in comparison to anything else of the same size and performance.

I just got an Octavia VRS estate TDI and I love it, practical, fairly economical, holds the road well and when I get it remapped I will have a large "family" grin an my face

I'm still quite young and am yet to experience a ridiculous car.

My plan is to get bored of it by the time I'm 30 and then spend more wisely.

I do love the vrs though

VRS maybe?

Oops! Sorry, I even re-read it to make sure before I posted.

Glad someone else has had good xp from Trust

I thought the same - but by the time I was thirty could afford even dafter cars..... Kit cars ..... Rally cars.... Children and time only slow you down ;)

:p

You're not wrong! At 30 I was running a modded Lotus Esprit V8-GT as a my daily car. With two kiddies now its a vRS wagon with a few tweaks..

Very happy with the car... Other than the tracking was way way out - shame Skoda uk hadn't sorted in advance really

If there's anything we can do mate just give us a call.
