Tail light and side light out

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 2003 Octavia. My right rear tail light is out and my right front side light is out..I was sure it was a fuse but checked them and couldn't see any blown..I checked the bulbs which looked OK but I got new bulbs but still no success..

The tail light is a fog and tail light. The fog light still works. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks Trevor

Sounds like the fuse think its in the fuse box on the drivers side of the dash, remember the layout is opposite to the one in the book due to ours being rhd

Yes thanks Raf, I noticed the book was like a mirror image but I checked and swapped all the fuses around (same amp)but still didn't work.

Fuse you need to check is F22. It is 5A. Looking at the fuse panel, it is in the top group on the extreme left-hand row, third one down from the top.

I found the problem, well my brother in law mechanic did. The fuse box is faulty, bad connection behind F22, he reckons the circuit board is damaged and temporally fixed it by running a wire from F23 until I get a fuse box from the breakers yard or eBay..

Thanks for your help.

Glad you found it. Don't try to use the indicator arm to turn on the one side only parking lights while you have the fuses linked.
