My Fabia vrs has started making a creaking noise when setting off,it seems to come from the middle of the car,but as is usual with car noises it may be emanating from somewhere completely different.

Any opinions graciously received.

does this sound like three knocking noises when setting off and going over bumps?

it it when u first set off? because it may be your rear brakes sticking as mine do this, especially with it being winter time

No it's not a knocking noise and its def not the brakes,if I go on and off the throttle it does it then.

Thanks fellas,am I right in assuming the console bushes are the ones which locate the rear of the wishbone,and do you think they will last till spring or is it a serious safety issue?
