There is one thing I'm not keen at all on the new Fabia and that's the new VRS logo and the Fabia typeface.

I might even take them off when the new car arrives and just have the Mk1 VRS badge on there.

OMG! No no no! What is that VIIIIII supposed to mean anyway? the new vRS badge is how it should be imo and it looks way better than the old one. When I had seen a retrofitted VIIIIII badge on a 1.2 Fabia I thought it screamed from miles "hey isn't that alone making me fast???" Which by the way reminded me of some horribly made "M3" badges fitted to 316s, quite popular some years ago.

I would give you though the one on the Fabia font, I removed that the first week, didn't match the car's character imo... If you don't like the vRS sign just remove it, but don't stick a VIIIII badge on it for god's sake!

Actually saw an 03 plate 5 dr Astra Exclusive 1.7 CDTi yesterday with an AMG badge on the back

New vRS badge is much better than the old in my opinion and has more movement even with the type incorporated.

As for the typeface it is by far the best improvement. Streamlined, modern and gives again a sense of motion that the old was missing.

I really hated the old - for some reason except the fact that it looks so static and tall, it reminded me of something middle eastern. Especially the "A"

I honestly believe they are on the right track - and now that the SKODA type has changed too I can see even further improvement regarding typefaces and branding strategies.

I agree with the first post, get rid of them. The old badges look muchbetter! They're more modern and better integrated. The worst part is that they have them on the incorrect sides! The 'Octavia'/'Fabia' etc should be on the left with the model on the right. To be honest though, just keep the RS badge. Looks better!

I've thought about de-badging (just the vRS badges) to up the stealth look - won't do it though.
