random play from HD card or CD's

Featured Replies

Hi, still waiting for my Yeti to arrive, can anyone tell me how effective the HD card slot is on the sound syatem in the SE? ie, can you play random from the HD card and can you play random on the 6 CD's. Also how is the info on the HD card displayed on the screen? [photo's as well as music?]

Regards Paco.

It is an SD card, not a HD card.

All I do is copy tracks onto the card, sometimes randomly, some times in bulk from albums. It normally plays all of tracks 1, then all the 2's, etc. If the name of the track is in the file off the computer it displays it.

It does not display pictures on the Bolero system.

Thanks Llannigraham, I have loaded up my SD card [not HD, OOP'S] and yes it has recorded all the number ones in sequence then all the number two's etc, just as you say yours does, Anybody know why the SD card does not copy the itunes just as they are on my pc? Also can you randomly play the 6CD's in the player?

Paco

It's all in the MP3 naming info. Some systems use the filename, others use the MP3 data to display. Rename your files if you need to (only on the SD card). Google MP3 tag if you need more info or auto convert software.

You need to check out the ICE Forum:

Do a search on "bolero random" (without the quotes) and be overwhelmed by the results. It is not as simple as it first appears especially if you have music saved in folders and albums.

if you want to display all the album tracks together (1,2,3,4,5 etc. rather than 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2 etc., put each albums tracks in a folder on the SD card.

Easiest way to get random play to work across all the folders and tracks is to copy a single MP3 file to the root of the SD card (not in a folder) then enable the random play function, and play this single track. Once this track has finished it will play randomly across the folders.
