Fitting arm rest to an Octavia VRS??

Featured Replies

The plastic trim doesn't go through the centre console, it fits flush to the top. Just the metal bracket goes through the centre console.

I recently purchased an Octy RS here in India. I got a black armrest fitted at the dealership before taking delivery of the car.Costed me Rs. 10,000 ( about 110 pounds i think) The salesman said that it's an hours job. They did a good job of it. the handbrake console is the same as the Octys with fitted armrests so i guess modifications should not be required. One piece of advice though, be careful of the horizontal alignment. The armrest on my car was rubbing against the left seat (passenger here in India) and made a squeaking sound against the leather. I had to take it back to the dealer. It took an hour for it to be realigned as the entire assembly had to be taken apart. But now it's perfect.

And it's a joy to drive around with it. Definately worth the money

sent my armrest back and got a refund no problem, but something confusing me?? how can anybody have put a golf armrest in an octy??the tray you remove to fit the armrest is nowhere near the same size,me thinks people telling porkies or they been hacking things with a dremmel..mmm

The tray size doesn't matter as just the bracket goes through and the plastic surround sits on top. Not really looked at an Octy without an armrest but on the Golf the apperture is about the size of a credit card IIRC.
