Auto Wipers

Featured Replies

Mine are great - wouldn't have a car without them. My van at work has a non variable intermittent......Drive that then go back to auto wipers and you will forgive them ;)

I've never had an issue with our auto wipers in 5 years!

However I have always added a very small drop of washing up liquid to the screenwash mix I use in the washer bottle as I have found over many years that screenwash alone will not clear diesel or other oily contaminants from the screen (that whiteish smear you get when the wipers are working).

Experiment has indicated that any of the latter will cause the rain sensor problems and the smallest amount of washing up liquid does get rid of any greasiness so I think this is a significant contributor to improved vision and getting the auto wipers to work properly...

Well peolple, I de-activated the rain sensor.

What happened?

The auto position works as interminent, less time between each passage as you go through the small switch on leaver.

Small line more time, big line less time.

Now the bad part, haha.

The fastest speed has an interval of about 5/6 seconds.

For me to much time. Have to look further to see if this (seconds) can be changed.

Don´t forget if you leave the windows opened a tad (sunroof also) and have car locked and if starts to rain it will not close the windows( haven´t tried this but since the rain sensor is desactivated is logic)
