is there anybody with experiance or may be able to advise, my local skoda and vw dealers aren't able to comment???

I'd be more concerned about the proposed ethanol increase which will eat plastics and rubber hoses. Particularly bad news for motorbikes that mostly have dummy metal fuel tanks and plastic actual fuel tanks.

Most modern cars have plastic fuel tanks..... they have for many years.....
