Fabia vRS slated by Auto Express

Featured Replies

For what it's worth I cured the rear seat release rattle by sticking a piece of the furry side of Velcro round the steel loop on which the seat release engages. The lock now grips tight and sits snug with no rattles.

Might give that a crack. It's weird, it sound like it's the release handles rather than the mechanisms that are rattling... oh well, another job on my list for the weekend, along with bleeding the system through with DOT 5.1 fluid and an eezibleed

No rattles on mine, 11k on the clock and not a peep, the only annoying noise in the car is when I'm giving the GF a lift to work, to quote chas and dave 'rabbit, rabbit, rabbit' etc....

It is well built, i've removed panels to fit wiring for ICE and just looking at the build compared to Ford, for example, is far better.

Mine's problem free expect the mirror adjuster switch panel comes out if you pull it, but it was like that when i bought it and I generally don't tug it. :)

Furby vRS is three months old now and the drivers door has a very annoying buzz when the stereo is up a little bit, but most annoying is the constant vibration if the dash at 1800 rpm (60mph in 6th, typically) and the screw that has dropped off somewhere in the dash and rolls right from one side of the dash to the other when you go around corners. It sounds like a marble just rolling around in there.

I must say, that I'm not impressed with the build quality of the dash at all. When buying the car it was the only thing that I didn't like, and unfortunately it's proved to be as bad as it feels.

Let's see what customer service at Robinsons Skoda in Norwich is like......
