I use shell normal mostly but do also use Sainsburys every now and again.

For every tank full of fuel tho I put a shot of additive in

cheapest for me, or whatever im passing, i tend use millers power4 [or whatever its called] or dipetane with it.

Do these additives make any difference, I'm pretty sure I read something saying your not supposed to use it on the vrs'?

As said before, Shell V-Power for my 100BHP twin cam petrol (Compression ratio 10.3 as a result of trying to get 100 HP from a 1.4 engine), otherwise the power is down, its rougher and sounds like a bucket of bolts. I only do 6,000 miles a year so increased cost isn't too great - about £40 a year.

Instructions on filler cap say it can run on 95 octane, but I've only tried/had to a couple of times and never again.

i use to use shell fuel save which was ok, then witched to total standard diesel, imo total is better because i see better mpg, plus no reduction in performance
