My 2003 Octavia has given little trouble until this morning when it wouldn't start, not a flat battery but the battery lead severed at the point where it connects to the battery. Very clean break as though it had been cut, but the cable is shrouded there so you couldn't get a knife in. Best explanation I can come up with is gradual wear, due to vibration over the years. Anyone else ever encountered this ?
