Very very nice... it's a lot of cash though and I don't think the advert mentions mileage. If it's done less than 20,000 then it might be worth a little test drive K

Know what I mean :drive: ?

I like them, very nice to drive and awesome quick when fettled :)

how would i find it compared with a modified octy vRS?

My brother has one,its a lovely car, very well put together great seats(Recaros),handles really really well, very solid feeling.

would definately have one,but only in dark colours or the Nogaro Blue.

drive one and you'll love it,get it re-mapped to over 260bhp and you'll be grinning for a long while.

whats your budget?if your talking

how would i find it compared with a modified octy vRS?

Never driven one but i'd say 4wd and 270bhp from just a remap is pretty interesting. When mine was standard a similiar s3 left me for dust :)

My mate has one all I can say is I hope you have plenty of cash for servicing. He paid

Get it serviced at a Skoda dealer, same car basically.

performance vw featured one in its march 2005 issue.

Had a Y reg as a company car for about 18mnths. Excelent car. The only car I've driven for a long time that i was sad to see go. Can't comment on the service costs, but was on variable and i used to go about 19k between services. Set of 4 Bridgestone Potenzas lasted about the same time.

Depending on age, either 210 or 225 bhp as standand, 1.8t (I think the swap was at the 02 reg). 0-60 in 6.5. Permanent 4 wheel drive. 6speed gearbox. 17inch rims. ESP (I always bottled it way before this did!!)

Leather recaros, electric everything, armrest, xenons.

Only downside was boot space (well i have to panda to the family occasionally!!). If you're a golfer you're in trouble.

Can't think of anything else.

Great car, well worth a drive.

Permanent 4 wheel drive.

It uses the Haldex system, so it's not permanent (as in "real" quattro IV) I'm afraid.

mate has one, like the octavia 4x4 but with a few more toys a bigger turbo and a little less weight

The S3 is a superb built, finished, driving car. Really get some nice Smiles across your face when you accelerate!

Kenny, good choice the S3. SWMBO has the 1.8T Sport and it's not a bad car but needs more power. Only thing I would say is Audi servicing is very pricey and Audi electrics aren't as good as they used to be. Had a few niggly electrical issues with both of the Audis.....

I have one, great build quality, pretty good handling and very torquey especially when chipped. It is permenant engaged 4wd it just shifts the split from front to back, saving fuel and wear (haldex) .

as said it isn't permanently engaged, the prop is constantly powered but the haldex unit at the back is basically a multi-plate wet clutch that brings the rears in, can lead to fun tail out incidents if played with properly due to the slight time delay on the rear. sadly you never have more than 50% at the rear, would be nice if you could set a constant 65% 35% split

Get it serviced at a Skoda dealer, same car basically.
And if you want to give your Skoda that extra special treat, likewise get it serviced by an Audi dealer.
