Skoda insurance

Featured Replies

Doing my annual quote gathering and Skoda insurance have come in cheapest of all of the quotes - I've not had my renewal yet but changed my car mid-term and I don't think it's as insurance friendly as my previous car and I am expecting the renewal price to be in the region of 30% higher than Skoda.

At present my car is standard but it will eventually be modified with aftermarket PDC, a set of springs and likely a remap. I assume I should also declare any change in wheel colour (if that applies) and any changes to the ICE (I will be fitting another VAG head unit in the next 6 weeks or so).

I know some insurance companies are not happy with mods and won't insure a modified car - I appreciate the simplest way would be to either speak with them or try a quote with the mods declared, but I am also interested in experiences from current or past customers.

Skoda were happy with my remap and flappy paddle MFSW. Only added 10% for remap.

They were the cheapest by quite a margin, despite my renewal being almost 25% more.
