Yeti sales in Ireland

Featured Replies

I came across this link to Yeti sales in Ireland 2011 the other day and have since edited this postit to make it more relevant. It gives a breakdown by county, colour etc. I wonder how the colour choice compares to UK and worlwide sales?

The most popular model was the 1.6TDi Greenline making up 53% of sales followed by the 110 TDi with 28% of sales. This is largely due to road tax (104 euro for the Greenline compared to 156euro on the 110TDi in 2011)and fuel economy. Buyers here are not keen on petrol cars due to poor residuals compared to diesel and higher road tax (330 euro on the 1.2 TSi).Since 90% of new car sales here fall into these two tax brackets the Goverment in their infinite wisdom has now raised these to 160 euro and 225 euro respectively.

The most popular colour was Red/Maroon which bucks the trend national as nearly 50% of new car sales here in 2011 were silver and black split 50/50. There were only 7 white Yeti sold here last year along with 1 green and 1 orange.

Overall total was 463 units.

If you want to comapre the Yeti to some of its rivals

Qasqai: 2,653 units

ASX: 140 units

Kuga: 370 units

Hyundai IX35: 1,480 units

Juke: 1377 units

Tiguan: 395 units

Obviously there are a lot of people out there that still need to be educated on the merits of the Yeti.

Indeed an interesting website. But alas in the UK these things are only available to people paying HUGE monthly subscription fees.

I guess someone in the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI)thought it was a good idea to develop a website that might help consumers make an informed choice when purchasing a new car.
