Second hand brakes?

Featured Replies

...but I couldn't find it.

I'm after 312mm brakes specifically but I'm interested in other tuning parts as well. I've looked in the usual places, Briskoda, Fleabay etc and nothing good comes out. Are there websites that sell second hand brakes or tuning parts in general?

I say brakes because I don't want to spend £1k+ on a complete brake kit when a second hand with little miles will do the trick or a mash up of others.

Hopefully that makes sense :p

as life savers, I'd never buy used brakes or tyres.

How can you be sure they are low mileage and haven't been in an accident or situation where they might be fractured?

It's fine to use second hand callipers and brackets etc, I'm sure you didn't mean second hand brake discs and pads, nobody in their right mind would do that!

I did a bit of research into the 312 thing for a friend, you can buy the carrier brackets new from gsf car parts (ate part same as oem except it doesn't have a vw part number stamped on it) they are about £40 each, I'm sure if you visit a breakers yard you could get a pair of callipers with the brackets and hoses or less than £50 tbh.

Jason has some in the for sale section doesn't he?
