High octane petrol & my VRS

Featured Replies

I personally found that with tesco 99 i get no less performance wise but i get about 10mpg less than with vpower.

What????? Are you saying approx 25% less m.p.g.?????

To quote Victor Meldrew "I don't believe it".

Miles per tankful, I may believe.

Tony :nerd:

I'm usually get around 30 32 with momentum trying to be eco but easily get 40 sometimes 45 with vpower when trying and its always the same journey at same times at same speeds

It may be where i always use vpower so the ecu is adapted to it and the vary rare occasion i use momentum it has a little hissy fit.

I have just done about 600 miles (2 full tanks of V Power) and the previous flashing EML has gone altogether ?

That's an interesting thought isn't it.

I'm not a big fan of going on about the fuel used in the VRS, but with my car it seems that using the 99 RON fuel is absolutely the way to go.

This engine is obviously very fussy about it's nutritional requirements :cocktail:
