Nearly there! Look out for my VRS on the Lowdown VW stand.

Good morning out today at Elsecar.

vRS were abit thin on the ground but saw a couple of cracking ones, spent most of my time lusting after a few of the golf MK4's!!

Also got to mention the passat/Bentley estate!

Had to be seen, along with the DeLorean.

Fair play to all the cars their owners must spend an awful amount of time/money and love into them.

Very good show of motors overall, got some nice pics but not a freedom member so can't post, sorry!

just got back in from this show was ok but the waether played a big part tbh, was better last year. ill upload some pics later once ive edited some

Bit of a wash out really. Overall standard of cars was poor compared to last year. Still nice to catch up with people.

No-one came out to the stand to judge any outside, so I’m guessing you might have been the only one marked :(

When i collected my marks sheet there was a couple others in the skoda file,weather proper ruined it outside tho :-(

Congrats on the win,i'm assuming yours was the yellow fabia inside? saw the few on the briskoda stand but i expected more cars to be honest but i guess the weather put people off and i only decided last minute to go with some friends on a clubstand and due to the weather i never bothered to clean it but to be honest its better dirty as it hides the poor state of the bodywork lol

It wasn't arranged under the Briskoda banner, but under Darren’s local group S.K.O.D.A.S. (Skoda Klub Of Doncaster And S****horpe)

I presume you followed them round then to be able to quote that as a fact

There was no intention to 'bring anyone down', as you put it

The instructions for the S & S were to be with your car to allow judges to look inside the car and engine bay

Some 'others' were with their car throughout the judging period, and were not approached by any 'judges' to look around their cars

Unless, of course, you were the judge, which would explain everything! :think:

We were fighting a losing battle with only four cars, so we’ll have to put in a concerted effort next year to get it back :-(

yeah, just looked outside and its sunny here and not a drop of rain anywhere bloody british weather wish it would make its mind up lol. maybe be better next year

Ah, another great year of Elsecar Skoda judging

2010 - I won by default.

2011 - They didn't do a separate Skoda class.

2012 - vrs'burks wins seemingly by default.

I'm honestly not being funny - this is a general comment on the state of Skoda SnS in this country, but it probably is the only class winnable on Lensos. OK - maybe SEAT too, but that's a pretty low bar.

Hopefully, some more cars will appear by DC, Inters, Edition etc.

Was good to finally meet some fellow briskodians, shame there weren't a few more but I think the weather did play a big part.

We need to try harder for the next show because I still don't think skoda's get the recognition they deserve. Whether its because some people still don't like the badge or our cars just aren't "scene" enough.

Anyway, I had a good day and will hopefully catch some of you at the next show!

It showed epic dedication to the cause to turn out in that weather from Sunderland - you put the ’locals’ to shame

Great to see the WRC on Cayenne wheels, and your mate’s MkIV was, to my mind, one of the best at the show (apologies for not recalling your names)

Maybe next year we can get a better turnout and make sure all of the Skodas get judged?
