Featured Replies

Hi guys, my car which is a 2005 skoda fabia vrs i have had it for a few months now just got a fault today car is not boosting in 1st or 2nd gear goes to 3k revs makes a rattling noise in 3rd onwards goes like stink got no engine management light on etc car as had a custom code remap done on it before i brought it 6 months ago car feels like its struggling like it goes in limp mode just does it one off what can it be??

Does the performance reset back to normal when you turn off and turn on the ignition again? if so it could be the sticking vanes on the turbo causing an overboost condition.

My mate nick had this. New turbo was cure

Is running perfect today guys took it to a garage aswell and he said it could be a boost pipe gonna get it booked in on monday will keep you guys updated, cheers

Doesn't sound like overboost - it would never go off like a rocket then. I would suspect the MAF breaking down - unable to read/fathom the airflow until faster speeds, i.e 3rd gear and above. :) Try unplugging MAF next time it does this and see if 1st & 2nd performance improves.
