Octavia boot compartment

Featured Replies

Should my second hand 59 plate Octavia Elegance have had a removeable panel to cover the boot recess behind the nearside rear wheel arch (the offside recess has a little net across it)?

Gary

My '57 Elegance does

My 57 plate VRS does too. It should have a panel with two fixings at the top.

my 11 plate VRS doesn't :'(

My 11 plate Elegance also doesn't have it :(

Hatch does, estate doesn't...

My 2010 VRS did not have a cover on nearside. Offside had a small net across it

Not in my 60 plate Elegance either as stated above I think you only get it with a CD changer fitted.

Earlier models used to get then even in Ambient trim.

I think its just cost cutting the same as not supplying a spare wheel.

My 11 plate estate has a removable cover each side, as the did the 11 plate I had before it.

The estate does, or used to. Both my Scout estate (2008) and vRS hatch (2007) have it.

As above, I think it's been dropped on later models as a cost cutting exercise.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I asked because I noticed that both Skoda and third party boot liners are shaped so as not to cover the boot floor area behind the wheel arch on each side and I wondered why.

I don't suppose any recent Octies have a CD multichanger in the boot? The "Bolero" radio has one incorporated in the head unit (and even then, most of us plug an MP3 player into the aux socket or use the SD card slot, don't we?)

Some people like me got MDI not realising there was the magic SD slot :dull: still its handy to just use my old ipod on it I suppose.
