Yeti heated windscreen

Featured Replies

My Yeti Elegance, which was new last June, has a heated windscreen. Can anyone tell me where to find the switch? I telephoned the local dealer, who after some searching, thought that it might be the Auxillery Heating button. He also said that it should have its own switch. Of course, until the windscreen is covered with ice or snow, I cannot tell if it works. I have been through the manual, which doesn't mention heated windscreen at all.

It`s located on the upper right on the central climate control panel and in the same location as the auxilliary heating button shown in the owners manual.

It might be best posting questions for only the Yeti on the main Yeti forum for a more comprehensive response as this is a model specific question.

Del

well that's a first, a yeti specific question posted in a general forum :giggle:

And I thought the wooden trim in my Golf was horrid!

I think the wood trim looks OK on a Yeti with a light interior. But I think this thread is about the heated windscreen switch, not criticising the wood trim. :)

Really? I've always placed wood with higher end (like Jags, Mercs etc) cars. I think it's the pattern that puts me off it though.

I can't make it out from the picture, but do these have heated front screens too, like the Fords/Jags? As I though that Ford and sister firms had a patent on that. . . ?

They do, I think VW group have to give ford a few £ every time they make one.

Hence it's not standard, it's a £200(ish) option extra.

I heard a similar thing in reverse for shopping bag hooks in the boot. Not sure it's true though.

Don't you mean "wooden" trim? :giggle: It is just plain old plastic with an image imprinted on on it of "wood"! (And looks awful to my tender eyes. I get why it looks better than silver with a Gobi interior, but even fluorescent pink would look better than this "wood").

But OT: Glad the OP found his button.
