Fabia vRS floor plan:- Varex Exhaust

Featured Replies

I'm looking to wire something which is discreetly hidden underneath my vrs to a live 12v connection for power.

I was wondering if anyone has pictures or something to help me out where I can lead the wires underneath the car to, preferably through the boot, as the ciggy slot seems like it would be a bit of a hassle getting too from all the way back there.

Cheers!

all will be revealed soon!

Hmmm intresting all i can think it could be is neons, a flamer kit or a varex exhaust......

I just hope it isn't a set of neons!

I reckon its for discreet PA speakers.

sorry just relised hes scottish, itl be for haggis seeking missles iv got them fitted to mine and they come in dead handy when theres a haggis the size of a grizzly standing in the middle of the road with an AK :giggle:

Its an oil slick for then the haggis start chasing me. 180bhp just isn't quite enough.

it's no the haggis you need to watch for ! its the neeps and tatties that come around you're blind side that get ye

lol

I know what you mean those haggis are a pain

On a seriuse note you could possible run the wires up behind the bumper and into the lighting unit(myt need to drill a slight hole) and then run them into the interior from there?

The left-hand or anti-clockwise haggis found only above 750 feet on the Cuillins on Skye are the worst.

When I got stranded there the haggis clan leader held me for ransom for 16 days.

My thanks to the kind folk of Elgol for donating all the black pudding for my release.

I make a point of eating all the haggis I can stomach now, and I boil those little beggars long and hard.

I was thinking about doing that, but I want to avoid drilling holes. I want to keep it as reversible as possible.

I suppose if I DID have to drill I could seal it up with silicone to prevent any possible rusting occurring but im not keen on the idea.

Might be a bit of a long run but have you thought of running the wiring from the engine bay back as that way you wouldn't have to go through the car shell.

Just occured that a small hole in the light unit would maybe cause condestion aswell so youd need to seal around the wires but that shouldnt be too hard but i cant think of anyother way unless theres a gap up near the top of the suspension unit

running it to the engine bays.my forst port of call but its jusy encase the wiring isnt long enough.

as for "drilling" id put one hole in the spare wheel well and seal it up. then connect under the plastic boot trim.

There has to be a grommet etc near the rear bumper as the towbar electrics kit "split charge" is also "retro dealer fit"........

AS for the Haggis ......25th soon!!!!! :giggle:

there's quite a few grommets under the spare wheel so no need to drill

Just checked so there is, looks like its a bumper off job to get at them but thats alright and it looks like I'll have to take the rear boot trim out to splice the connection off the boot light.

I'm half tempted to put a 12v ciggy connection in the boot as well while im there. It's shocking cars don't come with them in the boot as standard these days.
