EGR VALVE

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the EGR valve is on the 8 valve engine, or if it even has one, I must be going blind because I cant find it!.The last time the engine management light was on the guy at local garage said he cleaned the EGR but I am now thinking he just put the light out, as it came back on 2 days later.

EGR is the saucer like bit on the left, next to the strut. All Fabia vRS's have one. Mine has an intermittent fault, it gets cleared then the light comes back on eventually. You can delete the EGR or replace the valve to sort it.

Edit you have a 1.4 so I don't know. VRS's are 8 valve too!

Well you learn something new every day! I assumed the VRS's would be 16 valve, I'll take another look in the morning, I just couldn,t see anything relating to the exhaust manifold, It made me wonder because Haynes manual does not list EGR fitted to ATZ engine type.
