they 19s?

Cheers :) I am quite pleased with them

They are 18 x 8.5

Tyres are 215 40 r18

Nice!

They suit the car down to the ground! Perfect ride height as well...

they look spot on :)

Thanks guys :)

When I took them to be fitted, I was laughed out of the first tyre fitting shop, they told me they would never fit and would foul the arches.

Drove home thinking, bloody hell and was really deflated and worried how much it would cost me to ship them back, but then thought to myself, ya know what, I am going to try one more place and see if they say the same.

Showed them the wheels and they said they would fit a budget 215 40 r18 tyre at a charge of £25 to test it. Went on fine, so I ordered 4 decent tyres and had them all fitted the other day :)

Very nice wheels suit the car well as others have stated.

Was thinking of getting some like that but black painted and polished rims

In Picture 2 I think it gives the car a very aggressive look. They look good mate!!

Someone said nice ride height, that made me look again and I thought yes it is!! I am not interested in running down the road bottoming out but your stance I think is what I would be looking for, so what did you fit?

It just has a H&R 35mm Spring Kit installed. I had a spring snap a while back and the dealer wanted £80 for a replacement so the cost of this H&R kit really made more sense. Got them from Awesome GTI

Lovely wheels!

And that's -35mm? Doesn't look any lower than standard to me!

Needs more lows but wheels suit it very well

They look very cool bud :thumbup::thumbup:

I really fancy some LM style rims on the mrs altea :smirk: im forbidden from genuines on hers tho lol they arnt as safe on that one as on mine :giggle:

lol I know what you mean. As awesome as it would be to have genuine LMs, I know that when they get kurbed I would cry!

This set cost me £530, which included centre caps, locking wheel nuts & delivery. They are made in the same place that Rota wheels are manufactured, Korea I believe and they tell me that because of this they are much lighter than the Chinese versions that are on the market.

they are one of my fav wheels full stop, those and ronal turbos, but i have never seen an octy on those, my golf might be getting a set tho :) if i can work out a trade for my mims with a guy on edition :)

just suit it perfect!

+1

You sure that is -35mm i really question that as to me it looks about std height.

Mine is -35/40mm and my tyre tops are just visible to the arch. Front arch just cover the top of tyre. That is with 18" rims and 40 profile.

They prob fitted 35mm lower spring for a non vrs as the vrs is already 35mm lower so intact it lowerd it by 0 ;-)

That's what it looks like anyway

I fitted them myself and the car definitely looks lower after it all settled. How much it has actually lowered the car I am not sure. I'll try and dig out a before and after pic.

Nice rims :)

This is the best comparison I can get regarding the suspension.

I completely agree that it's not a 35mm drop from standard but I didn't say that it was, I was just saying which kit was installed because that's what I was asked.

I think you'll agree it is a tad lower than standard though...?

The vRS is only 15mm lower than standard so the springs should give a 20mm drop.

Yep I would agree with that measurement.

Very nice :)
