Intermittent power loss VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all I have read lots of posts on the problem I have with my 2007 VRS petrol-when driving on the motorway in 6th doing 60mph sometimes not all the time the turbo doesn't kick in until about 3000-3500,it also does this on some b roads as well.4th or 5th,if I drive it hard from the start then all is well turbo kicking in about 1600-

All the other posts I have read never give the outcome to what the fix was ,could this be a sign of a worn DV?? I do not hear any hissing noise when the turbo is spinning.

Please can someone shed some light on this as its doing my head in.

Thanks All

Potentially could be a split DV. Is your car remapped?

No its standard,if the DV is slipt or is perished could it be intermittent ?

40 quid for a new dv so its a no brainer really - change this out and see if it still has a problem.

Anyone know the part number for a DV for 2007 VRS would mine be a TSI or a TFSI?

is this the correct part number for my car 06H145710D ?

TFSI and yep correct number.

If the dv is split you usually get a bit of boost then it ball escapes and seems flat in acceleration ,like a FSI rather than TFSI . The new ones have been revised to a piston type so you will have no more issues
