Fabia vRS Suspension Lowering

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking to get some lowering springs for my Fabia vRS.

Do you have any suggestions for makes of springs and what the optimum lowering height should be?

Many thanks in advance

How old are your springs and secondly, are they in good condition?

What price you looking for?

Eibachs are regarded as the best for this chassis. Many MK1 drivers n here have them, including me.

i paid 145 for them 30/05/2011 didnt put them on till mid june. Condition wise theyll be pretty much like new, minus a scuff or two from the spring compressors from fitting them.

im open to sensible offers tbh matey,

Matt

Depends how low you want your car as to what option to go for.

Eibachs! 25mm drop!

I was thinking of the Eibachs with the 25mm drop.

That seems fairly reasonable!

What are KW's like? I believe they're a bigger drop though!?

do the kw and eibachs go on with out the need of shorter dampers and drop links? also can anyone put a pic up of one with eibachs and or kw's as im intrested in doing the same...cheers.

Eibachs with OE dampers, new shortened bumpstops!

Worth remembering, 25mm drop will really do nothing looks wise because they are so high to start with, so as the above picture shows, it just looks like the hight it should be standard. If your after lowering it to make it "look low" then you`ll need coilovers.

yer they are pretty high, i would like the best of both ideally. i would like to have good handling but about half of the aboves arch to tyre gap. looks like i will just have to save abit longer and get some mid range coil overs, may take longer to get some lows but atleast i will have all round gains.

I totally agree with you. I've got to say I was expecting slightly lower than that, so I'm a bit disappointed!

Looks like I might have to save a bit longer too!

Why were the Fabia vRS's so high from the outset? Does anyone know?

Lol I know what you mean they are a tad high, my bro takes the Mick and calls mine a 4x4, he is a Renault Sport owner lol.
