Annoyed is not the word

Featured Replies

I had to remove my rear caliper because the piston had come to far out for me to just pop my rewind tool in and pop it back anyway my banjo bolt has a small leak obviously because the washer is a single use crush washer but what I'm annoyed at is I couldn't find a single crush washer in the town where I live people are just so stupid when I say banjo they think its some kind of musical instrument I've had to bite the bullet and order new brake lines from tps I rang 3 skoda dealer Milton Keynes, Bedford and Hertfordshire that also didn't have a clue what I was on about anyway I'm just frustrated and wanted to have a moan as I again have to get public transport home....... And breathe

Is it just a normal copper washer or the thin u shaped one? Local engineering supply places should have these as banjo connectors are quite common in hydraulic systems. Also if it's just a plain copper washer they can be reannealed in a hot flame and let to cool naturally

I believe they come in copper and aluminium believe it or not I have just ordered a pack of 10 of eBay I tried everywhere I could think of but no where had any I have ordered the brake lines from tps so if it fails with the washer I'll replace the lines such a simple job is causing so much stress the partner is annoyed with me as the car is still off the road she thinks I could get it sorted somehow but like I tried to explain brakes are the one thing you do not want to bodge or screw up a it could cost you dearly but she just don't understand

Any diesel specialist will have loads of copper or aluminium washers to fit all standard metric fittings. Make sure you use the correct material to avoid galvanic corrosion.
