Phone connection perdung

Featured Replies

Hi Y`all

How do I turn the noise down/off.

Irritatingly noisy!

Seems to do it every time either phone connects or when I have no phone with me.

Also connects with I Pod which is in the house on Roberts and kerrplungs!

Cheers

Peter

Well, not that I understand it at all, but when I first put the key in the ignition the volume control on my Bolero controls the phone (and the perdung!). If I use the same control later it varies the volume of the audio. It might help you, and others trying to solve the same problem, to know that my Bolero is always switched to phone and that I rarely listen to audio (excepting the TIM, and TP, of course). I will research further and let you know what I find out, since I can find no written information about this in the FMs! and I dont mean Frequency Modulation either.

Turn off using VCDS.......find a local person on Briskoda who has it. Covered a few times on here. Gizmo knows where to look, but he is darn sarf. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

When using the telephone turn the volume down. Then the bong will be lower, but if you turn it up whilst on a call it will be louder when you reconnect next time.

Bluetooth has a range of about 30 feet, so any phone within range will connect, and then you drive off and it then disconnects which reminds you the phone was in the office in the loft emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Did a test today; and couldn't verify what happened yesterday! However I did find the DTMF when I needed it on a call today. Never seen it before. It worked flawlessly and easily. Impressed.

One thing I do know is that if you set the telephone volume at any time it stays like that until you next change it, even after locking the vehicle and returning to it the next day.

Correct. so if you leave when it was loud you get a big bong, or if you leave it quiet, a quiet bong emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Peter,

it mirrors the in call volume which can be reduced-but then you won't be able to hear callers if you set it too low, don't despair though a VCDS wizard can delete the noise altogether. Dealer software probably can't do it or the operators won't know how even if it could. So you need to find your local canbus king!

Gizmo did mine!

Peter, I'm reliably informed that the software installed by Skoda can detect the age of the driver, and in anticipation of the fading hearing of the elderly adjusts the bong upwards accordingly. :giggle:

Only paired phones will connect - and only one phone can connect at any one time. The phone that was last connected has priority: the car will try to connect to that one first. So yes, if that one is in the house and you have a different paired phone in the car, it will connect to the one in the house first, then disconnect as you drive away. You can then ask it to connect again (to any phone) via the Maxidot and it should find the one in the car.
