anyone know how to swap the lock in a mk1 vrs glove box handle ???????????????

Not sure if you can just change the lock !

If its like the VW Golf you normally change the whole glove box.

You can just change lock, ive done it when i changed my locks after i got car back from been nicked

From memory all handle comes off and lock slides out

any info on how its done would be great eg handle un clips . split glove box ?????

ill have a quick look when i got to do abit on car today but i know i didn't even take glovebox front off, it actually came off really easy i was quiet suprised as i thought gloveboxs are usually quiet secure,

tilt handle back and look underneath handle sure its fairly self explanatory

yeah there are clips that are part of the handle. I would slide something thin down the sides and push toward the middle it should pop out. I changed mine but it wasnt a locking one.

Any videos on this lol I don’t get it and don’t want to break my nice black glove box (updating from bird**** colour l&k lol)
