What dump valves

Featured Replies

Right in need of new dump valve ! And was wondering what you guys run

I would like to get the sound abit more but I no the skoda really needs a recirc one

So looking at forge split r ?

Or is it just a normal comp brake one ?

ive had a split r before they are a pain to set up right as there adjustable, dont sound much louder then a normal forge 007 one, so id say just get a forge and fit and forget, no faffing about, Get an induction kit and even the standard one sound good B)

Get a compbrake one just as well made as the forge at half the price! Haven't touched mine in over 2 years so it's also fit and forget lol

Standard one with a jabba induction kit

Wouldnt recommend the Split-R it is expensive for what it is, as said it needs adjusting carefully otherwise it tends to leak.

I only had mine on for six months then swapped it for a 007P (which was £20 cheaper anyway) this is what my Split-R sounded like (with a normal airbox and panel filter)

If you fit an induction kit you'll still get a "whoosh" sound with any other DV (Forge 007P, Bailey, Compbrake, TurboDynamics or the standard fit Bosch one).

Standard one is fine TBH. You can buy 3 of them for the price of the forge ones.

People moan about them all the time, but seem to forget that some of them are knocking on for 10 years old, so will be knackered!

I just want the sound as much, so I supped something like a cone pipercross filter would make the sound more noticeable ?

Yep. It will defo make it louder. The standard airbox mutes the hiss pretty well, but putting a proper intake, or even a relacement panel filter will make it a lot louder.

well yes that will give u the sound u want but u will also get heat soak so for the sake of a woosh noise just save up your money and get a neuspeed air filter ok they r 150pounds but best thing i have got my car u get the woosh sound u want even on the standard valve it also makes the turbo whistle louder aswell and best of all comes with a heatshield so no heatsoak

get a gfb(go fast bits)hybrid valve, like the split r but works! Had one on my car for about 4 years no probs with leaks etc,but the noise does start to grate in the end(very loud!) so replaced with a forge 007p :)

i have a comp brake sound great i think with green panel filter

I do metal fabrication so I was thinking a cone pipercross which I know I can get for 60 quid and then making a metal heat shield and then a good cold air feed out I some ducting ? Or just a panel filter for 35 ?

Standard valve and standard airbox for me, my compbrake one was faulty as it was leaking somwhere so just stuck my original one on and its been fine

Buy a cheap ebay Cai pipe and a decent air filter, with a compbrake valve it sounds just right

I got a Simota cone filter sits next to the battery via a 45deg 3" stainless pipe. Cold air feed from the lower centre bumper grill. i get 0 heat soak and can drive it through a piddle without fear of hydro locking. Cost me Pennies to make and sounds and performs great. Very Very loud turbo spool and dump with the standard OEM recirc valve

Unless your mapped, there not really much point buying a 007 or such likes.
