Top 10 Garage

Featured Replies

I am sure there have been several of these already, but my mate and I often have one of these conversations over a pint.

This is my current list, budget is no issue, and is subject to change whenever a new copy of Evo comes out :)

Ferrari 599 GTO - have you heard the thing on YouTube? No further reasons needed for me...

Classic Mk1 Cooper S - have been a big fan and an owner of Classic and New Minis, this would be the ultimate original.

Clio Williams - like the 205 GTI but a little bit gruntier. The only car that gold wheels look good on!

R35 GT-R - blisteringly fast in all weather and sounds amazing away from the lights.

Mk1 Golf GTI - not the best hatch but the original, and one of the coolest old-school ones

Golf R - a Golf GTI with sexy undies on!

Porsche 4.0 GT3 - minus the dodgy stickers, this would be my ultimate 911

Aston Vantage V12 - looks, sounds, bad JB impressions, machine guns etc

Caterham R300 Superlight - for gentle family cruising in the summer sunshine.

Honda NSX-R - not all that new but I love the looks of this thing. The NSX is pretty special still and this even more so.

What would you guys go for?

1) Citroen CX Loadrunner - That's the 6-wheeled thing that the Paris newspapers used to use for over-night distribution, and good for over 100mph with 2 tonnes of papers on board.

2) Porsche 911 RS 2.7.

3) Mercedes 300SLR Uhlenhaut coupe - Like Stirling Moss's Mille Miglia winner, but with a coupe glasshouse.

4) Aston Martin Vanguish, preferably in Moss Green.

5) Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec II in Bayside Blue.

3) '86 Ford RS200. Compromised, beautiful, flawed, incredible. Would give a testicle to own one.

4) '99 BMW M5. The automotive equivalent of a bodyguard. Understated, but powerful and difficult to get past without a lot of firepower.

5) '67 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Brutish, sounds incredible, truly iconic design.

6) '04 Honda Accord Type R. A methodic exercise in turning a decent saloon into something truly special. Proper spec 220bhp K20, the slickest 6-speed gearbox ever, brilliant handling and a truly special feel.

7) '99 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR. All-wheel drive nutter car. Want a UK spec One that's lightly breathed on.

8) '93 Jaguar XJ220. Maligned, misunderstood, stupid, beautiful, incredible, beyond fast.

9) '89 Ford Sierra Cosworth Sapphire 4x4. Original grandaddy of the practical, fast saloons. Moonstone Blue or Mercury Grey please!

10) '90 Ford Escort XR3i. My first dream car. Saw one when I was 4 and always wanted one... Mercury Grey, dogleg alloys, 90 spec, Recaro interior, Duran Duran in the tape deck.
