Fog Light Plastics

Featured Replies

Just wondering if the foglight plastics (the bit behind the colour coded fog light surround) just pop off or if the front bumper needs removing? I have used the search but still not 100% so any help/advice would be very helpful :)

thank you

Simon

They just pull out mate. Give them a good tug :)

Hi sie_gt4

If by foglight plastics you mean the fog lamp unit itself then you DO have to remove the bumper - after pulling off the foglight surrounds - to swap them out.

Here's a link to the Forge front mounted intercooler installation instructions lifted from another thread which might help.

Yeah im refering to the black bits behind the foglights, not the colour coded bits, in my case the silver foglights surrounds as i want to remove to spray black and hopefully manage to get my flyeyes on too, time will tell lol. Thanks

Think I know what you mean now! You're referring to the matt black part of the fog light surrounds - yes?

I had to replace a 'lost' one on my son's blue vRS SE and the surround came in 2 parts 1. The bit that's coloured and 2. The matt black part.

Was pleasantly surprised by how cheap they were.

You DON'T have to remove the bumper for that you merely pull off the complete surround and if you then turn it over you'll see the numerous small moulded in clips that keep the 2 parts together.

Use a small screwdriver or similar to gently ease them out to separate the 2 parts. Fairly easy!!
