best cleaning method for fabia ?

Featured Replies

hiya , whats the best stuff to use to wash and polish skoda cars with ? thanks

Lynx shower gel : )

Naa probably autoglym lifeshine stuff but depends on personal preffrence

Just make up the occasional excuse to get something done under warantee..., cleaned inside and out and free coffee if you're lucky.

Shampoo is just personal preference, they all do the same job, with very similar results.

When you mention best method, have a look at the two bucket wash method.

For polish, it would depend on what you want to achieve, and the current state of the paint.

The current skoda range has a quite hard paint, for even very light marks, I find myself on some quite aggressive combos.

And Dont forget to wax or seal

Lithuanians.

collinite 476

Dodo juice shampoo, or auto finesse shampoo gives a nice gloss advise that polish and wax be applied

Fella, go and immerse yourself in wwwdetailingworld.com for a few hours..

you'll learn the black art of car detailing; 2bucket wash, snow foam, clay bar'ing lambs wool mitts, the difference between wax, polish, sealant, srp, egp g1,2,3,4etc

It is worth it as then you can decide to what level you want to take it!!

with all this cleaning im surprised theres time to drive it :giggle:

to be honest though i hose it, wash it, hose it, wipe dry and thats about it

only other thing i use is autoglym tar remover as my white car shows every spec. at over 6 quid a little bottle this will be expensive as im using a lot, its like water so doesnt go a long way but is very easy to use

Magnum washing liquid from aldi

Ive never understood detailing, you spend all that time on the car and then some lorry drops rocksalt all over it or a stone chips the paint and its all ruined!

Jet wash followed by two bucket method and wash mits.

Wheels next with exhasut etc.

Clean bucket o' stuff for door shuts then hose off all suds.

I also spray quick detailler into a bucket of luke warm watrer, chuck it over the car and it stops any smearing :)

Dry off and go round tyres etc with gel... yada yada yada

I use Meguiars Gold class shampoo and the wipe over with Greased lighting showroom shine.
