have been watching the site for a while - now have good reason to join as my new (and First) Octavia Vrs arrives in the next couple of days!!

I just hope we get some dry days this week so that I can try it out!

Welcome Macky.... I have just bought my second Octy RS. I am not known for my brand loyalty, but love the RS so much I had to buy another. I covered 51k miles in the old one, and I got the "new" (04 with 3k miles) just over a week ago.

The only thing that I can grumble about with the Octy is that in torrential rain, the brakes take a second or two to bite. Give the car in front some extra room in case of sudden stops, or dab the brakes every so often and it wont catch you out!

I waited 4 months from ordering mine new to actually getting it delivered- its well worth it. You have to drive everywhere with the windows open listening to the whistle as you hit the gas!
