Clutch Specialist? Anyone used them?

Featured Replies

At that price, it's probably only capable of handling standard torque, and possibly even less than a new OEM clutch.

If it was uprated, they'd be able to charge more for it and still undercut people like Sachs, so I can only assume it's priced in competition with standard parts.

They are suitable for cars with more than 25% increased horsepower & torque than the standard production model.

From that wording, that's no better than a standard clutch. OEM clutch can take around 300lb/ft, 25% over standard output on an ASZ engine is 295lb/ft (236*1.25).

At that power I'd stick with OEM. Ross has been running his with no issues I think, pretty sure he gives it some stick too.

Ok, I can get trade at Eurocarparts but they only do LUK or Sachs which one would be best?

I've got the ceramic clutch plate from them combined with a new OEM sach's pressure plate, running Turbotechnics S210 turbo.

So far its held up nicely, whereas before my clutch would slip; car was on ~72k when installed, now on 78k and running fine.
