Thanks alot guys! :) had a detailing weekend, and used about 25hours on wash, clay, mashinepolish and wax :) The result speeks for it self :) This makes it much easyer to keep it clean the rest of the winter :)

What does your friend think of the H&R springs? Any more pics of his car and maybe now with the H&R coils on?

Hi,

I love the low-look you have.. Nice ride...

Are you driving FK Silverline?

For how many km did you drive it? And for how long?

The reason i ask is becous some guys here in Denmark have had problems with leaking dampers ón the FK Silverline..

DaveyBoyWonder: I guess he thinks the springs are OK, but not low enough :) He is waiting with swap to coils to closer to the spring :)

Aarosin: Thanks :) I like the low look, it makes the car look so small :) I have FK Highsport. I have drived about 25.000km and about 2,5 years :)

Yes, I read some about leaking dampers on FK coilovers, but also that it "should" have been fixed.. I have not had any problems with mine yet :)

Cool, thanks...

Hows the comfort? Do you drive it at rock buttom without the helpers in the front?

I think the comfort is very good, i drive it quite low and dont have any problem with it beeing harse. Driving at normal roads I dont feel it as stiff as a car lowered that much use to feel, and many of my friends have said the same, that they are surprised that it feels so good for the hight :) But you really feels the ground on bad roads an low speed (1.gear). :)

No, Im not rock buttom, the driveshaft are rubbing too much to do that. In the summer I have about 1cm threads left without helpers (in front) :)

Yeah, the Highsports are a good bang for the bucks :)

Today the last christmaspresant was picked up, and that was for the car :)

Think this will lift the interior to more vRS feeling, since the steering wheel is the only thing "booring" :)

Nice with the GTI wheel. :)

But what about the airbag?

Mounted new logo on the rear lid. Not 100% happy about the fitment, så might try some more custom fitment on it :)

DSC_1787.jpg

Saw an Octavia II Combi the other day with the logo removed and the indent filled.

Made the rear end of the car look much wider... Very cool look. Didn't get any pictures though...

The airbag is on the way, think it will be installed mid January :) Will mount custom centerbadge, and GTI will be swapped with vRS :)

Yeah, I think that would have been nice with clean both.. But the both lid is new, painted and installed one mounth ago. Sadly the shop didnt tell me anything before they painted it.. But I will take the logo of, and bend it so it follows the lid better :)

Did some mods today :) Fixed the steeringwheel logo

And i got theese the other day

20130111_140432.jpg

Picked up some warning cancellers, they bolt right in the cars sticker, and switch to 3-pole sticker house in the other end

20130111_182121.jpg

Wired up to test, but it still gives warning even with the cancellers

20130111_190334.jpg

And the result, better colormatch than xenon and more OEM look.. since it is OEM

20130111_194559.jpg

And OEM parts means that its leagal, that xenon not are

20130111_194620.jpg

Will try to code the warning of tomorrow :)

They might work, but I am swapping the BMC modul to a 30byte highend, and hopefully I can code it out on that :)

I spend my entire morning reading through all the pages .. & all I can say is RESPECT ..

Wish we had better roads :-(

And...

cant-lower-your-car-tell-me-more-about-how-bad-the-roads-are-just-where-you-live.jpg

:D

Car is still looking lovely and like the new steering wheel :)

And lol at that willy wonka pic its great haha,People have said it to me so many times and must think that where I live that there is nothing but smooth Tarmac lol

^ Best condescending Wonka ever.

In fairness pz1811 IS from India, so may have a legit excuse on the road front. In general though, yes, just man up and lower it or bag it if you're comfortable with your sexuality.

Thanks, looking forward to install the new steeringwheel :) The airbag is on the way now, a litle late.. I am leaving to Thailand for two weeks now, so it have to wait til I come home again :)

I put in the new 30byte BCM, but still cant code out the bulb error, so think I will try the connectors that Dumlir linkes to :)

Have some toughts about this years look allso, and new color on the rims are a part of that ;)

God trip mate! looking forward to the "New year" changes ;)

I also installed these on my FL-vRS! They are a perfect match for the DRLs

how did you try to code out the warning for the bulb-out error?

  • Author

I tried to code of the autocheck for foglight, but it doesnt help any.. Not so surprised, think I read once that only way to code out the autocheck is to code out all or nothing.. Got some other functions with the new BCM though, like brakelight in foglight, and corneringlights :)

I might buy resistors to put inline with the LED lights. I don't want to code out the entire car.

corner lights are good :)
