Figured out what was wrong with my xenon

So for the past few days, one of my xenons hasn't worked.

Took it apart, quite easy to spot what's happened....

No idea whether it was the bulb, ballast or adapter that caused it, so I'm going to buy all three again. Yet more expense :(

Even with only one bulb, the output is still great.

Nope, a set I got on eBay ages ago.

Yeah, I had to prise the bulb from the holder as it was melted together :(

Well I've ordered replacement everything.

Hopefully this lot doesn't melt!

Does having a vRS with 4X4 bring a noticeable improvement to the car?

This is a follow up to a previous question I posed recently. I had a 2008 vRS for over 12 years and really loved it before moving on to something different. Looking to getting back into vRS ownership again and toying with the idea of finding one with the 4x4 drive train. If anyone has been able to compare the two, is there a noticeable improvement in road handling with this variant? Thanks

Hello! First post here... I'm currently driving a 2025 SE and I find the brakes absolutely awful. There seems to be varying levels of what I can only describe as servo pushback from the pedal meaning that in order to get it to brake anywhere near smoothly I need to try and modulate the pressure applied to the pedal to match the pushback. It's most odd, and not something I've experienced in any other car. When the pedal is pushing back against my foot it's as if the brakes are not being applied

History is that since the coilovers were done, the front-left top mount has aways creaked on turning; classic top mount sound of juddering movement. I've tried rotating the spring a little in case that's a difference but I need to do try some more just to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. In the meantime, the front right has developed a creak which is different. It's a heavier creaky rubber feel to it which is triggered on minor movement/weight shift. Going over speedbumps obviously makes

Hello, we have an issue we can't seem to get on top of. We own a Fabia Combi Mk2 from late 2008 with a 1.4l petrol engine with a Tatarini LNG unit that's functional but we don't drive on LNG anymore. It's been ours for about 4.5 years now, an incredible car, drives silent and muuuch smoother than much newer cars like our companies' 2020 Dusters for example. We've gotten it close to 180k km on the clock, but I'd say even compared to less driven Skoda's from the 2000s it seems to be significantly

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help
