Shinier than mine?

Featured Replies

I spent 6 hours washing, polishing and waxing my new Fabia on Saturday, and was so impressed with the finish, thought I'd have a gloat!

If anyone has got a better finish, show us the pics!

WOW-thats one nice shiny car!! :D

Hmmm! Warning antenna! The guy who invented that polish has some very shiny

I wish my Fabia was shiney :(

Given its halo, is it now in that great car park in the sky?

Mo

I used Maguires Gold Class on my furby at the weekend (nice weather).

That is some nice wax! It even smells like coconut or something when you rub it on. And it too is very very shiny.

No pictures though because that was 4 days ago and since then i have done 100miles and my cat Woody slept on my car :o

I have decided I can't wax my car too often as it makes me drive in a weird way, swerving to avoid muck on the road and being generally paranoid about dirt!

not mine, but still very shiney...

Hi

Has Woody learned nothing by peer pressure from Garfield that he's meant to splat on the back window/shelf?

"Drive in a weird way"? "It was the wax, Occifer, honest". Love it. Saaaaah! (laughs hysterically).

LOL

Don't laugh Mo...... it has been used in one Scottish Court as the reason why someone was speeding

The defendant claimed that since the car had been polished it drove faster than she expected it too :o

IIRC "case dismissed" due to the sherriff and the court officials being unable to maintain dignity :rofl:

Hi Stan

I scarcely dare ask... Polished the actual wheels? Cos it's blinking difficult trying to get the wax into all of those silly little grooves ... I mean, when you test them with a 10p piece, it's surely the perfect implement to get that polish right in there...

That is indeed very shiny!

What products do you use?

Dear vRSed

Apols for the confusion. My post was a silly one in reply to Stan's that a lady had suggested that the car drove differently because of the high-wax finish.

For your original post, I did not reply directly as I thought my computer had loaded only a photo of you but not the car  A little late, but if that photo's reflected from the shine on your car

Now I'm curious, how long before re-polishing?

Best

Mo

I'd love to say I'd have a go at getting mine as shiny as that, but some f@*&er's keyed the side of it!

Hi

Not nice  A temporary disguise-fix can be a bottle of enamel nail varnish, available in almost every colour, and a couple of coats of clear, and can be applied specifically, rather than a spray. Not scientific I know, but removes the stress of having to view the damage pro tem.

Regards

Mo

This is the way my car looks most of the time as it gets cleaned most weekends. Waxxed it a few weeks ago but need to do it properly when it's a little hotter. Notice the clean exhaust pipe Mcbunny ? - Thats what Autoglym does for ya :D
