Ok then for me I think factory xenons is the way.

So where can I get my hands on some I can't remember seeing any on here for sale so I'm guessing there quite rare and therefor expensive.

EBay. They come up now and again. There was a recent thread with some that sold for £200 but I've seen them on eBay for double that

Save time, effort and money by just putting in decent bulbs and slowing down a bit at night.

decent bulbs just dont compare however to xenon/hid sadly!

True but then do you actually need xenon lights for the majority driving, not really.

well nor do you need electric windows, power steering, abs, 180 bhp, a rear anti roll bar, big brakes, lowered suspension etc etc etc, however it makes for a better car.

True oe xenon setups are way better than halogen bulbs, drive a car with it...the light is way easier on the eye when driving and illuminates way more of the road making them safer for the driver as they can see more around them more of the time.

Even hid retrofit kits, give way better light for the driver, the difference is light night and day (scuse the pun) but it really makes driving a much nicer experience being able to see properly at night.

Not disagreeing, would love Xenons myself, just wondering if the time, effort and cost involved is worth it as the standard lights with decent bulbs work fine.

I love my HID kit :D whethere everyone else does tho lol

But hey ho :) i just smile when people moan or complain now

After all its more polite than the alternative

Each to their , factory xenons would be nice, but hid kit cost me £80

but thats the point, they dont work fine, they are cak, the lights in my mk2 golf are better than in my octavia!

the cost of fitting a retrofit (should you choose to do so) is around £50 plus, so not thay much more than supposed upgraded bulbs.

I was mostly referring to getting an OEM set and fitting those. Believe that is a fair bit of work and additional cost.

My lights are fine, not brilliant but adequate.

I am not exactly sure of these new MOT rules, if these lights are ok or not, if they are I may get some myself(get dazzled by loads of new cars anyway).
