Easy headlight buld change?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, am looking to fit new bulbs to sidelight and full beam, my car has xennons. Can you just unscrew the screws on the top of the headlights and slide them forward to give more room to change the bulbs?

If you want to do that you'll need to undo all four bolts. You can then take out the entire headlight and change the bulbs on a workbench etc.

The two on the top are obvious enough, then the nut in the bottom corner. Fiddly to remove the nut with the bumper still in place, but can be done.Trickiest is the torx bit at the bottom of the back of the light. You'll probably need a torch to see that one and a long screwdriver. Same size as the top screws.

Little hands is the key. Side lights pop out easy with some needle nose pliers, the bulb is attached to the fitment. Driver side is not too bad for room its just about manageable. As for passenger side I dont know if I was luck or unlucky that previous owner had broken the hinge on it, so after taking out the two pins and unclipping the whole back could be removed giving easier access.

A bit excessive me thinks but easier and quicker than removing front bumper.
