How can the Ford Kuga become so ugly?

Certainly makes the Yeti look like a box on wheels

Actually, might be on the wrong part of the forum - could it be moved to "General Car Chat" please?

Have to say I quite like the look of it...

Are the engines the same as the cx5?

The 2.2 diesel is much better on paper than the ones you get in the yeti.

I agree - it has lost its distinctiveness.

Also think this is the right forum as it's a direct competitor to the Yeti and of interest to current or prospective Yeti drivers

Yes, but it's also about another car. Yeti forum is for Yetis! Even the OP has suggested it :)

Modern approach to exterior design of crossovers: take a golf-class hatchback and pump it up :giggle:

The first thread on this car can be found here:

Looks worse than the first short lived Kuga to me.

Oops, thanks for that, didn't realise it was announced that long ago.

The Yeti is a box on wheels...

That is horrendous, shame as the old Kuga wasn't that bad, if you like that sorta thing

I think it looks rather better than the current one, which strikes me as being more of a fussy mess each time I see one. That new one is just dull, uninspired and lacks any kind of design coherence (although it's not dissimilar to its predecessor in that respect). But that colour is awful - bile green?!!

+1, as is the current Ford Focus, one car / global platform.

Citroen esque... DS4 looks better :p I know it's not a 4x4 though.

They Yeti has a sense of innocence & great quality.
